Ice Planet Barbarians is pretty smutty (there’s a lot, haha), funny, and just hard to put down. I liked we got his POV, because that definitely gave a bit more of a look in this world and species. He’s very protecting and when he thinks Georgie is his mate he’ll do anything to keep her safe.

My eyebrows were definitely raised, haha. And that’s when she runs into Vektal and things get sexual pretty quickly. That’s when she leaves the ship to see if she can find someone or something to help them. Georgie and a few other females escape the ship they’re on when things malfunction. That’s when things get weird (not that they weren’t before, haha). While many people would sit in a corner and cry she was a feisty one. I mean waking up on a space ship surrounded by aliens has to be creepy.

You can say one thing TikTok really does help sell books, haha.īeing abducted by aliens isn’t something I think many people would be happy about and that’s the case for our main character Georgie. Part of me was also hesitant about starting Ice Planet Barbarians. If you told me I would enjoy an alien/human romance a couple of months ago I would’ve laughed at you. “Up until yesterday, I, Georgie Carruthers, never believed in aliens.” If Vektal helps us survive, I’m not sure he’s going to want to let me go. He’ll help me and my people survive, but this poses a new problem. Vektal says that I’m his mate, his chosen female–and that the reason his chest is purring is because of my presence.

In all honesty, the new covers helped a lot as well. All the hype had me really curious, so when TBR and Beyond created a WTF group read and this was the first book I decided to join. If you’ve been on TikTok or anywhere in the bookish community lately I’m sure you’ve seen Ice Planet Barbarians mentioned once or twice.
